About Us

The Rusted Nail from Courtesy Yard on Vimeo.

The Rusted Nail began reclaiming and crafting in the fall of 2010. What began in the family shed has now grown into a more suitable shop with even more room to grow. Since the beginning Jeffrey Burke has used his skills and experience in Architecture to design and build each project that has become the centerpiece of every space they reside in.

Even though the company has grown The Rusted Nail remains a family orientated business. Cindy Riley (mother) is acting fire starter/motivator; Bill Riley (Step Father) is head of maintenance and repairs, while Stephen Burke (Brother) has transitioned from apprentice to marketing consultant.

What We Do

The Rusted Nail reclaims aged material from old structures and reshapes them into a wide range of project types. From a single piece of furniture that enhances the look and function of a space to whole home design. We have the experience and ability to complete projects both large and small.

Just like the many rusted nails that are pulled out of each board we reclaim, no two projects will ever be the same and are unique in their own way. The top priorities in all of our work is quality of construction, overall functionality and a distinctive simplistic beauty. The Rusted Nail combines the old with the new, whether it's a project with a traditional style constructed with modern techniques and materials or a contemporary style combined with old materials, you are sure to get a piece unlike any other.
